Beneath a blanket of Snow is a story about rising above materialistic desire. We all live a peripheral life that burst like a bubble when hit by the reality.

The story revolves around the central character Jonathan Perkins who has done every bit to live luxurious lifestyle and provide all the comforts to his family. Another main character is his better half Meredith Perkins , who is ignorant to the struggles and deeds of his husband and is busy enjoying the whim of the life.

The tables are turned when her husband is arrested for some crime and their family lands in troubled waters. Dependency on others, difficulty in meeting both ends and sufficing the demands of her children, she was trying to control the wheel of her life. But as said, difficult times doesn’t come alone, she came across the real side of her friends and well wishes in the difficult times.

Writing Style– The author has beautiful penned down the story in an engaging way. It’s fast paced and the chapters are short which kept me reading chapter after chapter.

Characters of the Story: The characterisation of the characters is so apt that you can relate to them with your surroundings. The way she has sketched the characters shows the realistic nature of human being that how hardships and struggle bring out the true nature of the mankind.

Recommendation: This novel highlights realistic and full of character growth. An interesting read for a fiction lover.
