Indian sportsmen highest among failed dopers: World Anti Doping Agency

As per the 2022 report by World Anti Doping Agency, India ranks amongst the highest nation with maximum sportsmen failing doping test. If this report is to be taken true, can we claim ourselves to be pro-sports nation?

India tested a total of 3,865 samples — urine, blood, and dried blood spot (DBS) combined — during the collection period from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2022, and 125 of them returned Adverse Analytical Findings (AAFs).

India is the only country to have over 100 positive results. By comparison, countries with higher testing numbers such as China, USA, and Russia produced fewer AAFs.
